Does hosting your own site effect PR?

This is a good question, and many people curious about this question. For those who do not about PageRank aka (as known as) PR is one of the methods Google uses to determine the relevance or importance of a Web page. PageRank is a vote, by all the other Web pages on the Internet, about how important a Web page is. A link to a Web page counts as a vote of support. If there are no incoming links to a Web page then there is no support. the method for measuring page importance on a scale from 0 - 10, where 10 is the highest.
Back to the question, IP (HOST) simply doesn’t affect PR and IP range could have a small affect, if IP is banned, but overall probably not. Basically your hosting provider does not effect your PR. backlinks effect page rank only, I advice to get more quality backlinks to get a chance high PR.
